AI Pricing Guides 2026
9 articles
Every page in this hub answers a version of one question: what does this AI tool actually cost to use? Not the headline number. The real one, after the message caps, the credit systems, the "unlimited with fair use" asterisks, and the upsell tiers that appear once you are already subscribed. Pricing is where AI vendors are least legible on purpose, which makes it the section of this site we treat as core: we operate a paid AI product ourselves, we track competitor plans as a matter of survival, and the numbers on these pages are re-verified against the vendors' live pages whenever prices move.
Two patterns come up so often they are worth naming before you read anything else. First, the free-tier trap: a free plan sized to be outgrown, with the real price appearing exactly when the tool has become a habit. Second, tier inflation: the plan you subscribed to stays the same price while the features you subscribed for migrate upward into a newer, more expensive tier. Every guide in this hub checks for both, because the advertised price and the price a real user ends up paying are routinely different numbers.
The master reference
The AI pricing guide is the root document of this entire site: every major AI plan, free tier, and per-message reality in one table, refreshed on any price change. It is where consolidation math gets run in the open: what stacked subscriptions cost against one $14.99/mo plan, with the working shown. If you read one pricing page, read that one. Everything else in this hub is a deeper cut of one of its rows, and every vendor page below links back into its table.
Vendor by vendor
The dedicated pricing silo goes deep on individual vendors: ChatGPT pricing for the default everyone measures against, Venice AI pricing for the privacy-tier structure, DeepSeek and Qwen for the open-model economics, and Meta AI and Character AI for the free-first products with paid ceilings. Each page holds the current tiers, the limits attached to them, and the cheaper routes to the same models where they exist. The silo grows as vendor pricing gets complicated enough to deserve a dedicated page, which in this market is a matter of time rather than a matter of if.
Our own bill, itemized
We hold our pricing to the standard we apply to everyone else. Perspective AI pricing breaks down the $14.99/mo Starter plan, what it includes, and where its edges are, and Perspective AI credits explains the credit system behind it: metered, published, and visible per response in the app. No fair-use asterisk, which is rather the point of writing pricing guides for a living.
Paying less without losing capability
How to save money on AI subscriptions turns these reference pages into a procedure: find the overlap in what you pay for, keep the capability, cut the duplicate bills. For most people paying for two or more AI tools, the outcome of that exercise is consolidation, and the model access guides cover how multi-model access works once you get there.
Pricing is where this site does its most checkable work, and which vendor pages answered and which returned a 403 records exactly that, vendor by vendor, with the date. The corrections and disclosure rules cover what happens when one of those numbers turns out to be wrong.
